Mark and Lynn love Canterbury Ales in Huntington...

The other day Lynn and I were in Huntington after seeing Frost/Nixon in Farmingdale. It was snowing heavily and we were desperate for a bite. We ducked into a familiar place, but it was closed (it was about 4 pm). We decided to go to Canterbury Ales which we had passed many times but never really considered trying.

We were very glad we did. It had a great atmosphere (particularly for a wintry day) with a relaxed crowd at the bar (not always easy to find in knee-jerk stressed out Long Island). Our bartender was a particularly appealing server and she made me a Negroni with out batting an eye. Lynn and I loved the Cobb Salads, they were particularly fresh and hearty. We saw some seafood items that we hoped to try later. We are not big beer drinkers, but the pub has an impressive selection of beers (particularly on tap). We will be back...
